Sad news: Nakato’s officially announced it will not reopen, saying “It is with a heavy heart that we announce that the Nakato family will not be re-opening our Myrtle Beach location. Since the fire back in 2019, we have been in heavy litigation with the insurance company and we were unable to make up the loss that we have incurred to make it possible to re-open.” (Facebook)

• Hanukkah Menorah Lighting with Temple Emanu-El at The Market Common

Friday, Dec. 8

• 4th Annual Polar Bus Express will take passengers on a double-decker bus around Myrtle Beach. Passengers will receive their own souvenir golden ticket, a “BELIEVE” sleigh bell, water, a sweet treat, and complimentary hot cocoa at the end of the destination. (Tickets)

• CCU Cultural Arts Premium Event EmpireWild - Guest artist Empire Wild is a genre-bending, crossover trio featuring Holly Bean on vocals and piano, and Ken Kubota and Mitch Lyon on cello. The classically trained musicians channel their love for musical exploration into the trio - fusing sounds of pop, folk, jazz, classical, and more in their songwriting and composition. The Winter Wonderland concert includes a range of numbers, from Tchaikovsky to Mariah Carey, in an evening of holiday cheer.

Saturday, Dec. 9

• Shakes with Santa at the Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar

• Tacos with Santa at Nacho Hippo at The Market Common

• Ice Skating in Georgetown - skate on a synthetic ice rink at Maritime Park in downtown Georgetown. Enjoy live music, holiday lights, hot chocolate and more! There will even be snow! This event is sponsored by the Georgetown Business Association.

• Santa Crawl on the MarshWalk with drinks, dinner, and a costume contest.

Sunday, Dec. 10
